The 10-legged, many-dredded rock ‘n roll machine that is F.I.G.M.O will return to the studio this month as they prepare to bestow yet more glory-packed aural mayhem upon the ears of an eager universe! A number of new songs, ranging from the ludicriously epic to the irresistably catchy, are about to get the full-on F.I.G.M.O studio treatment. Major Dredd joins the front line
July 28th, 2009Good news – we can today officially announce that new bass-playing FIGman Major Dredd will be joining us in the Ranks of Ultimate Glory! Eagled-eyed FIGmites may have spotted Dredd tearing up the stage at the last Academy gig. His “take no prisoners” playing style and devastating good looks make him the perfect fit for the F.I.G.M.O line-up, and his diminutive size means he can fit in the boot of a small family hatchback. Make no mistake, as soon as Dredd realises that it’s a bass guitar in his hands, all hell breaks loose – and that’s exactly what we’re about.
Thanks to all who got in touch about the bass position, especially fiery-haired contender Martin whose booze-fuelled outbursts of pure vitriol will go down as the stuff of legend.

Glory update
May 27th, 2009Another month has passed, and F.I.G.M.O welcome the next in the only way they know how – by being completely brilliant. We’ve been busy in the practise space working on new tunes – working titles include “Dred Dred Dred”, “The Oldest New One” and the future hit single “Gash Flash”, so you know it’s all good.
We’ve been meeting up with potential new bass players over the past couple of weeks and hopefully we’ll have good news on that front soon. In the mean time, we now have tickets for our Manchester Academy 3 headline gig on 3rd July, where we aim to blow you away (as always) with a sample of the new songs. Get your tickets either from Ticketline, or save a quid by going to our brand new web site shop page where we’re also selling CDs and T-shirts.
